I guess I'm the first one here, so I guess I get to pick the first topic. My subject line refers to USS Wahoo (SS-238), the first US sub to enter the Sea of Japan, in WWII. ;D And I pick, SUBMARINES!!!, of course. For those who don't know me, my love is US Diesel Boats, Guppy modifications. Naturally the new Revell Gato is my big interest. I've already made drawings for the construction of North Atlantic and Portsmouth sails, in 1:72 scale. I have an extensive library of submarine info on US subs. If anyone wants drawings or info, and I have it, I'll be happy to scan and email it. I have no classified info, so if you want that, you'll have to ask the Navy. I'm not the only sub sailor here. And some others, who may not have served on the boats, know even more about them. If you're some one, who's interested in building a sub model, this is not a bad place to start. I'll let the "skimmers" speak for themselves. Don't tell any one, but, some of us "Bubbleheads" build skimmers, too.

OOh Rah Mike, I assume I am addressing a fellow Jarhead? I Like the sub! I love ships also, but I consider them the Rolls Royce of models, so... being a beginner, I have to improve my skills quite a bit b4 I weigh anchor on building 'em, I am getting a nice collection though for that day! ;D Hope to see more of your builds Mike.

we had a workshop at my local IPMS meeting this week about ship building. Bill according to alot of these guys, it's pretty easy, you get a ship, you get a PE set, and the guy had some serious blue prints of the ships too, was pretty crazy! I forget the name of the company, but it's only an email away...
