I have been working on an old dodge ambulance model for about three weeks and the last step was to apply a flatting finish to the model. Sound simple right? I decided to try Microscale Micro Flat as I could appy with my airbrush. thinned with water, sprayed on, went on smooth with good coverage. All seemed ok. I waited about two hours and checked on the project and it now has the nicest gloss finish I have seen in a while...ARRRRGGHH!
Now what? I do i fix this? What went wrong? HELP!

That seems odd, I've never heard of such a thing, sure the lids weren't switched between the gloss clear and the flat clear or something?

The flat clear is supposed to go on with miniscule bumps and irregularities in it, when you thinned it with the water, it made the clear flow more easily and thus the it went on smoother with out the microscopic bumps and irregularities on the finish that would normally make it flat and thus your finish was shiny. I would just go over it again with a flat finish without thinning it this time and hopefully it will be allright.

Well, the name is printed right on the bottle, and the directions say can be thinned with water or alcohol..cant apply it straight as it is too thick..

I use Model masters flat clear. I have thinned down to about 70/30% and airbrushed it on my projects and have had great results. The finish is very dull when dry.
