Guy's the Interior Green of any Spit is Humbrol #78, or the other brand equivilants, also the upper wheel well is also Interior green, an easy way to do this is paint the inner upper wing half prior to gluing the wings together.
Use a piece of wax paper too cover over the undercarriage well wall, before gluing the wing halves together, as the wheel wells, undercarriage legs, wheel hubs and undercarriage doors are the under suface colour of the airctaft.

Sean, What would you say if one was finished much earlier than the finish date, possible to build a second ? in side the time frame. well, thats what i'm planning to do if i get the big one done in time. may even start the 1/72nd one whilst waiting for parts to dry, cheers for the info on the interior and wheel well colours. all the best. well, there's been some progress here, some of the interior parts have been installed, the seat assembly is done and the seat straps and buckle have been made and fitted, , a bit of weathering has been done to the insides too, the wing tips have been fitted and i am figuring out the best way to do the conversion for the PR what if job (if i go that route) i wish Hasegawa had done this one with an engine because this scale cries out for it. am thinking about having a go at fitting it with a belly tank if i do a PR bird too.
all the best.

This is the only flying example of the Mk VIII anywhere in Oz, It's now owned and flown by David Lowie of the Tamora Aviation Museum. Rob.

well, i'm commited to doing the PR version, going to keep the guns though, sorta fighter recon type thing. not fitting the pilot figure, have figured out the belly tank, its coming from the MKV kit along with the larger carb air intake, have decided not to put a camera in the fuselage side but will add two to the underside, the pit is all but finished apart from final assembly, the wings are complete less undercariage but thats all painted and is ready for assembly and fitting. there are serious warpage issues with the rear center section and both fuselage halves but nothing that will stop this one getting completed (i hope), this is fast becoming a fun build for me.
all the best.

Nice start Sean.
If I may suguest, with the compass on the IP, use a silver paint on the dial part and when dry dab a little clear blue on it, with semi gloss black around the sides and base, this would give a better replication. I'm not certain if the Co2 tanks are the redish colour though, [these were used to opperate the 20mm cannons], the seat should be the grey/green cockpit colour, only back custion of the seat is either leather or black.
