Sounds good, I have an AM decals sheet for 453 Sqn RAAF Spitfire IX, from the European Theatre, for a 48 Hasegawa kit.

Count me in! You know me, any excuse to build a Spitfire! I don't know which one I'm going to build yet, I'll go through my kit stash over the weekend and decide. Looking forward to this one,
Darren.

Hasegawa 1/32 kit..... mines out of the box, the parts washed, interior green painted and some of the black areas and parts done for the pit and the undercariage bays painted, the wing halves are attached to the lower wing (quite a bit of warpage there, and in the fuselage halves too) am setting it aside to dry and been reading through my references for the PRXIX but probably won't start that till the MKVI is done,

OK, I went and bought a 1/32 scale Hasegawa Mk.V today. May pick up a second one off of ebay this coming weekend. I guess it's OK if I do two Spitfires, isn't it? - Patrick

Hi Sean, i used humbrol interior / cockpit green no 78, here's a cross reference list, www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/portland/971/reference/humbrol.htmthis i think is the standard colour for most british built aircraft of the era, the only one i have found to be different so far is the colour used by Auster which is more like brunswick green. and RAF aircraft of forign manufacture. all the best. Hiya Sean, i think i misread your question, i thought you asked about the interior colour, sorry. to be honest i havn't fully decided how i am going to finish this one, am thinking of maybe doing a "what if" PRU machine in over all PRU blue, i think it will suit this one with its extended wing tips. the airfix spit has been boxed back up but i will dig it out and have a looksee if you want.
all the best.
Greg

Hiya Sean, the colour on that one was not quite right for PRU blue, it was far too bright, if you look for pics of the Swift at Newark air museum, the underside of this is the correct shade, i can a pic of it here if you like, (being a supermarine product it kinda fits in).
best regards.
Greg

Started on my Mk IX kit, will post some progress pix later, if any are thinking of doing an OZ Pacific I've added some pix and sideviews of some mixed Spit's. Wartime Mk VIII Spit [CR-C A58-464] I have detailed information on this and it's replacement bird. Of the 4 x sideviews, the 2 x Mk V'c, are Dk Earth / Foliage Green over Azure Blue. The RAAF had 1 x Mk Vb Trop on charge, I will check my info for it's serail number. A58-517 a Mk VIII UP-F is Interior Green / Dk Green and U.S. Dk Green [on the port side rear fuselage] over Medium Sea Grey A58-614 a MK VIII ZP-Q is Ocean Grey / Dk Green over Medium Sea Grey. If anyone is doing an RAAF bird in Foliage Green [Euro Dark Green], FS 34092 in the Model Master range of enamels this is #1764 in the Humbrol range of enamels this is #149. Rob.

Sean,
What would you say if one was finished much earlier than the finish date, possible to build a second ? in side the time frame.
