Nice progress so far Greg, looks like this is another of 32 scale Hasegawa kits, similar to what Sean is doing, I'm not certain about the Co2 bottles being red , in my 48 Mk IX I've painted these the Grey/Green primmer

cheers Rob, i'll have a scout round on the net and see what i can come up with about the red Co2 bottles, your right about the kit and what the instructions say about the bottles, it is the MKVI but i am doing it as a "what if" fighter recon type with a belly tank and camera ports in the rear center section.
cheers for the kind words,
Greg

Sean, they are the landing lights that folded into the wings just outside of the gun blister, when not in use, the cover is grey/green on the inside.
I had painted the Co2 bottles in my pit in the grey/green primmer.
Hope it helps

Well I had a disaster I was sanding the fuselage then i heard a crack now I have a cracked wing , I tried to repair it but i'm not too sure So During the war these did recieve a lot of battle damage so were the wings metal or wood on these if metal i might put some plates on it , to simulate battle damage repair

So this is where you are! Great progress so far guys, I have yet to start mine, but I think that will be resolved after a visit to the model shops tomorrow!
Lobbie, please tell me about that Mk.I that Junor built, its fantastic! I'd love to know: Which kit? Which decals? Where did the ammo boxes and ammo belt come form? Sorry to throw loads of questions at you, its just that I'd love to do what your friend has done.
Regards,
Darren.

been having an early morning modeling session. the pit has had some final details added, then it has been installed into the fuselage and this has now been closed up, i found that the rear frame can be fitted after the fuselage has been closed so i will add this later today when it has set. then the wings will be added. i am not looking forward to that bit as there was quite bad warpage to mine and the fit is terrible too, most of the warping i have got out with hot water, bend to shape then cold water. (what was the fit on yours like Sean?. ). pics have been taken and will be posted when there is more to show.
